The Farmer's Market expansion, completed in
2003, consists of five separate buildings totaling over 165,000 gross
square feet of construction area. On the site of the historic Farmers
Market in Los Angeles' Fairfax district, all are mixed use buildings, and
include office, retail and food service. Construction utilized a range of
building materials, including wood and steel-frame structures, and
innovative use of fiber-cement board as a durable, low-cost finish
