Mondrian Hotel Renovation

House & Robertson served as executive architect for a major remodel and renovation of the guest rooms, corridors and public areas of the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood, completed in 2008. Originally constructed in 1959 as an apartment tower, the Sunset Strip landmark building received a complete renovation of all guestrooms including all new walls, ceilings, bathrooms, finishes and furniture. The new interiors, designed by Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz of New York City, include a reconfiguration of the main lobby and adjacent bar area. As part of the renovation, major upgrades to the building's mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems were completed.
